Casey Reinhardt is most popularly known for winning the Food Network’s 2011
“Cupcake Wars” and for her role in the second season of the reality series, “Laguna
Beach: The Real Orange County.” In 2009, during Casey’s junior year at Pepperdine,
she opened her first Casey’s Cupcakes in Riverside at the Historic Mission Inn Hotel
& Spa, owned by her parents, Kelly & Duane Roberts. With the success of her first
location, Casey’s Cupcakes has since expanded into four other locations in Laguna
Beach, Fashion Island, Woodbury Town Center-Irvine and Irvine Spectrum Center. In
addition to winning Cupcake Wars, Casey’s Cupcakes Irvine Spectrum Center Grand
Opening coverage was featured in Times Square in New York City.

RIVERSIDE: Girl’s cupcake wish comes true

Sarah Poulson, an 8-year-old Riverside resident battling leukemia, fulfilled her wish to become a baker April 5, at Casey’s Cupcakes in downtown Riverside.

She baked, ate and danced with co-owner Casey Reinhardt, and she signed autographs for a large crowd of family, friends and supporters throughout the morning.

The Orange County/Inland Empire chapter of Make-a-Wish helped organize the event, which meant a lot for Sarah, said her mother, Marina.

“It gives her hope and joy … and something to look forward to.”

Casey’s Featured on Bites on TODAY

February 27 is National Kahlúa Day, celebrated by fans of the coffee-flavored liqueur — including us! This annual holiday is usually marked by enjoying Kahlúa in as many ways as possible, from trying a new cocktail to adding a dash to tonight’s dessert.

You’ll have a lot of recipes to choose from since Kahlúa is used in a variety of different, delicious recipes. Michelle Sanders, Brand Director for Kahlúa, thinks the liqueur’s versatile kitchen use is because of the combination of rum and coffee flavors.

Casey Reinhardt, of Casey’s Cupcakes, says that the unique rum and coffee flavor combination makes Kahlúa great for baking. It is one of the reasons Reinhardt chose the liqueur for her White Russian cupcake recipe, which made her the winner on the Food Network’s “Cupcake Wars” in 2011.
